Kiev needs to find another motivation to return the region to Nezalezhnaya instead of shooting
The door is almost closed between Kiev and the republics of Donbass on the issue of resolving the conflict. With such a warning addressed to the leadership of Nezalezhnaya, the first deputy representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, Dmitry Polyansky, made a speech at today’s briefing.
He drew attention to the very contradictory position of the Kiev regime, when its representatives turn to the residents of Crimea and Donbass with the statement that they are part of the cathedral, and that they allegedly wants their return. However, in reality, the Ukrainian authorities are doing everything to prevent this from happening.
“Well, the issue of Crimea is closed, as you know. The issue of Donbass is not closed, but the door almost slammed, because people there every day become targets for bullets arriving from the Ukrainian forces. They have very low motivation to go back,” Polyansky said.
The Russian diplomat called this method of leadership Nezalezhnaya to return the rebellious mining region to its fold very doubtful, RIA Novosti reports.
As a reminder, last week Russian President Vladimir Putin made it clear to his Ukrainian counterpart that he was ready to meet with him in Moscow to discuss problems of interstate relations, for example, pressure on the Russian language in Nezalezhnaya or attempts to destroy the Russian Orthodox Church in the cathedral.
However, to resolve the conflict in Donbass, the Kiev leaders must meet with the leaders of the DPR and LPR, the Russian president emphasized.
