The Ukrainian government intends to submit to the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) the issue of introducing economic sanctions against a number of Russian airlines, Interfax reports.
It is proposed to introduce restrictive measures for a period of three years. 13 Russian airlines may fall under them, which, according to Kiev, violate the procedure for using the airspace of Ukraine, flying over Crimea.
It is clarified that the sanctions provide for the complete cessation of the transit of resources, flights and traffic over the territory of Ukraine.
The NSDC will have to consider the received proposals on the application of sanctions within a month.
We will remind, earlier Ukraine seized 109 Russian planes that flew to Crimea. In addition, Kiev has charged Russian airlines with fines amounting to about $ 560 million.
