Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Irina Vereshchuk suggested that the Russian Federation coordinate their routes of humanitarian corridors. The representative of the Ukrainian government said this in her video message.
According to Vereshchuk, the developed routes of humanitarian corridors Volnovakha-Zaporozhye, Mariupol-Zaporozhye, Kyiv and Kyiv region in the direction of western Ukraine, Kharkiv and Kharkiv region in the direction of western Ukraine were sent to the Russian side and the Red Cross.
Earlier, Vereshchuk, in a video message, announced the approval of one route of the humanitarian corridor – from Sumy to Poltava.
The head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, asked Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi to support the creation of humanitarian corridors in Ukraine for the evacuation of the population. Borrell also expressed gratitude to Beijing for its position at the UN General Assembly.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a military operation in Ukraine. According to him, the actions of the Russian Federation are self-defense against the threats posed to the country.
