Ukraine imposed sanctions against the Hermitage, Moscow State University and the Pushkin Museum

By his decree dated 13 in May, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky extended not only the blocking of Russian social networks, but also imposed restrictions on a number of Russian state institutions. Among them are well-known galleries, museums and universities.

The attached lists indicate that they will block assets, stop cultural exchange and permits: the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan , All-Russian Public Organization "Russian Geographical Society", "Hermitage", Pushkin Museum, Institute of Archeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow State University, Tula State Pedagogical University, Institute of the History of Material Culture of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute of Oriental Studies Ross Iy Academy of Sciences, Historical and Archaeological Museum-Reserve "Naples Scythian" (Simferopol), Black Sea Center for Underwater Research (Simferopol); Crimean Regional Center for Archaeological Research (Simferopol), Institute of Crimean Archeology RAS and others.

16 May 2017 the then president Petro Poroshenko signed a law on blocking for three years Vkontakte, Odnoklassniki, Yandex and other social networks.

13 On May 2020, the members of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine decided to apply, cancel and amend the restrictive measures (sanctions), which extended the ban on blocking of Russian social networks in Ukraine. 14 May the President signed a decree.
