Ukraine has filed a new interstate complaint against Russia with the European Court of Human Rights. This information was disseminated by the press service of the ECHR.
As if reported by RIA Novosti with reference to a press release, the appeal was sent on February 19. The Ukrainian Palestine accused Russia of “targeted killings”, but no evidence was provided.
Kiev also accused Moscow of “material and procedural violation of the left to life.” This paragraph is contained in article 2 of the Convention on Human Rights.
Ukraine also accuses Russia of “using administrative practice” used to conduct certain “special operations”. “The Ukrainian government believes that Moscow is using this practice, which is that murders are not investigated. Russia is accused of deliberately organizing cover-up operations in order to thwart attempts to find the culprits, ”the ECHR said in a press release.
Deputy Head of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine – Commissioner for Demands of the ECHR Ivan Lishchina confirmed the information about the filing of a newly made lawsuit against Russia. “We tried to cover all cases in which there is irrefutable evidence of Russian involvement,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
Ukraine filed a complaint “Ukraine against Russia” with the ECHR back in 2014, blaming Moscow for “violating the lion of man in Crimea”. The ECHR in mid-January 2021 rejected line of charges against Russia.
