Ukraine expects to receive S-300 complexes from the West

The administration of US President Joe Biden is discussing with European allies the possibility of transferring air defense systems and other weapons to Ukraine. The Washington Post writes about this, citing sources from among officials.

According to the publication, Kyiv, among other things, asks the West to provide S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems. At present, consultations are being held on the possibility of transferring these weapons to the Ukrainian side.

It is clarified that the discussion is being held ahead of a trip scheduled for next week by US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin to meet with allies in Brussels and Slovakia, who have expressed their readiness to send military assistance to Ukraine.

Earlier, the Pentagon reported that Ukrainian troops are currently receiving weapons from 15 countries.
