Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba during a telephone conversation with British Foreign Minister Elizabeth Truss discussed the coordination of positions on the issue of confronting Russia. This is reported by TASS with reference to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
The report says that the foreign ministers of the two countries coordinated the positions of Kiev and London “against the background of the aggressive actions of the Russian Federation”, as well as diplomatic negotiations that will take place along the lines of NATO, the OSCE and the EU.
It is noted that Trass assured Kuleba “of unwavering support for Ukraine.” In addition, she declared her devotion to the principle of “no decisions on Ukraine without Ukraine.”
According to Kuleba, at present, the movement continues towards the implementation of the complex package of containment of the Russian Federation proposed by Ukraine. It includes political and economic aspects, as well as security issues, the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry stressed.
Recall that Russia and the United States will hold talks in Geneva on January 10, where security guarantees will be discussed. On January 12, a meeting of the Russia-NATO Council will take place, and on January 13 – negotiations between representatives of the Russian Federation and the OSCE.
Earlier it became known that the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Alexander Grushko will represent the Russian diplomatic service at the meeting of the Russia-NATO Council on January 12.
