Ukraine again unproven accused Russia: UN Security Council veto is under threat

Russia’s veto right in the UN Security Council was threatened by the statement of Serhiy Kislitsa, Ukraine’s permanent representative to the organization. He again, unsubstantiated, accused Russia of participating in the military conflict on the territory of the DPR and LPR.

Kislitsa made a statement during a meeting of the UN General Assembly, which is dedicated to the situation in Donbass. When formulating the agenda, the wording “the situation in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine” was used.

Ukraine’s Permanent Representative to the UN said that Moscow needs to be constantly reminded of its obligations, since it is a party to the conflict. At the same time, he mentioned that the Russian Federation denies participation in the conflict.

According to Kislitsa, “the prospects for a peaceful resolution will remain illusory. The Ukrainian diplomat again blamed Russia without proof.

“Russia was not and, in principle, cannot be a mediator in the conflict that it started and in which it continues to participate from the first day of aggression,” he said, but did not cite a single fact to confirm his words.

Kislitsa noted that Russia should be banned from “using the veto right.”

Russia has said many times that it is not participating in the conflict in eastern Ukraine. Kiev continues to press charges. Even the head of the OSCE special monitoring commission in Ukraine, Halit Cevik, confirmed that the observers did not see Russian servicemen on the territory of Donbass.
