Ukraine added 237 more Russians to the sanctions list due to elections in Crimea

Ukraine has expanded sanctions against Russian citizens in connection with the organization of elections to the State Duma on the territory of Crimea, which took place on September 17-19, TASS reports, citing a statement by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Alexei Danilov.

According to him, the list included another 237 people who took part in the voting and ensured the electoral process.

Danilov noted that most of the people on the list are members of election commissions.

Earlier, the office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy published a list of 95 Russians who have been subject to personal sanctions since October 5 for organizing elections to the State Duma in Crimea. Restrictive measures were introduced indefinitely.
