The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) revised its decision of October 1, 2020, according to which spectators were allowed to enter tournaments under the auspices of the organization, but not more than 30% of the stadium capacity.
“The Executive Committee considered that such a restriction was no longer required,” reads a statement on the UEFA official website.
In 55 national associations of the union, there is a different epidemiological situation, so the decision on the number of spectators at the matches will be taken by the local authorities, the organization explained.
“Accordingly, the UEFA restriction, which allows filling the stadium by a maximum of 30%, is canceled. As well as a ban on visiting futsal matches, ”the message adds.
The decisions will take effect from April.
Earlier it was reported that the organizing committee of the Russian part of the European Football Championship together with the authorities of St. Petersburg made a decision on the occupancy of the stands in the city by 50%.
