The leader of the Batkivshchyna faction in the Verkhovna Rada, Yulia Tymoshenko, said that Kiev was deceiving Ukrainians, claiming that the country had stopped importing Russian gas and was receiving it from Europe, TASS reports.
According to her, a fictitious pipe was built to pump “European gas”, which actually comes from the Russian Federation.
“Let them show me where it is mined in Europe and where we can get it,” Tymoshenko said and called the actions of the Ukrainian authorities propaganda.
In addition, Tymoshenko expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that after Vladimir Zelensky came to power, Ukraine did not investigate the purchases of European gas made under the ex-President of the country Petro Poroshenko.
As a reminder, Ukraine has not been buying Russian gas since November 2015, but is purchasing fuel on the reverse in Europe. On December 20, 2019, a protocol of agreements was signed between Moscow and Kiev on the extension of gas transit through Ukrainian territory and the settlement of mutual claims.
Earlier, Tymoshenko said that Ukrainians were driven into a dead end by tariffs for housing and communal services.
