Tennis players Aliya Merdeeva and Sofia Dmitrieva have been permanently barred from participating in competitions for participating in fixed matches. Information about this was credited from the Tennis Integrity Unit.

It is reported that Merdeeva participated in two contractual matches, and Dmitrieva has a relation to six such episodes. Along with this, in two of these games, Merdeeva and Dmitrieva participated in doubles.

After proven incidents, both athletes were banned for life from participating in official competitions, as well as visiting them.

Recall that Merdeeva rose to 928th place in singles ranking, in doubles – to 644th. Dmitrieva her best position in the singles ranking was 1191, in doubles – 939th.
