Twitter suspended account possibly linked to Ayatollah Khamenei

The microblogging service Twitter has blocked an account allegedly linked to Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Associated Press reports.

The account reportedly contained a tweet threatening former US President Donald Trump.

In the published picture, Trump was playing golf in the shadow of a giant drone. The Farsi text stated that “revenge is certain.”

It is noted that on the first anniversary of the death of the General of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, Qasem Suleimani Khamenei, said that “revenge will certainly be at the right time.”

Last January, it was reported that Twitter blocked the official account of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Later, Twitter blocked the official page of the Iranian Embassy in the Russian Federation, as well as the accounts of diplomatic missions in a number of other countries.
