Public words about the ownership of the Russian peninsula are the reason for the article
The National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting recognized the Dom TV channel as a violation of the country’s legislation. This was reported by the press service of the Council following the meeting on Thursday, September 30.
TV Channel “Dom” is a state-owned Ukrainian television company. It was created specifically for broadcasting to the Crimea and Donbass, in order to tell the “Kiev truth” to local residents. But in the summer there was a “zrada” – on the air they showed a map of Russia along with the Crimean peninsula.
“The image of Crimea as” Russian “on the national air contributes to the recognition of the annexation of the Ukrainian territory by the aggressor country”,
– decided in Kiev. For the first time, the National Council decided not to punish the channel severely and limited itself to announcing a “warning” under an article on disseminating biased information. As explained, the official check showed that the violators had no malicious intent – it was just that the employee who prepared the story showed negligence.
Meanwhile, another violator, the K2 TV channel, is doomed to a thorough unscheduled check. The National Council received information that the presenter of one of the programs made it clear that he considers the belonging of Crimea to Russia as a fait accompli. And this already draws on an article about treason.
Earlier, the Dom TV channel showed a long interview with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in which the politician explained why Russians will never love Crimea as much as Ukrainians.
