Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan appealed to the residents of the republic with a request to save water, TASS reports.
This is due to the shortage of water resources formed on the territory of the state as a result of drought. According to Erdogan, the country is now experiencing one of the driest periods.
As the Turkish leader emphasized, some reservoirs have completely exhausted themselves by now. In this regard, he stated the need to take measures against the threat of drought, noting that with a conscious attitude to water consumption, it will be possible to save about 50% of resources.
Earlier, Tayyip Erdogan said that he sees the future of Turkey in Europe.
