The opening of the office in Tula took place within the framework of the All-Russian social program “More than Rehabilitation”, implemented by the charity organization “Vozrozhdenie” in partnership with the company Pfizer… Tula has already become the eleventh city participating in the project: earlier it was joined by Volgograd, Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Blagoveshchensk, Irkutsk, St. Petersburg, Stavropol, Yakutsk, Ulyanovsk and Khabarovsk. GUZ “Tula Children’s Regional Clinical Hospital” was equipped with the latest equipment for the rehabilitation of children with rheumatic diseases and diseases of the musculoskeletal system.
The rehabilitation room was equipped with a bath (pool) of the AQUASPA non-contact hydromassage with an electronic individual massage programming system. The bath allows you to use all the therapeutic effects of a classic hydromassage without direct contact of the patient with water, dramatically reducing the number of contraindications. Non-contact massage relieves muscle spasm and muscle tension, thereby improving muscle rheology and restoring the functional state of the articular apparatus. It is planned to use a non-contact massage bath for school-age children suffering from rheumatic diseases and diseases of the musculoskeletal system. About 300 children will undergo contactless massage procedures a year at the Tula Regional Clinical Hospital.
Rheumatic diseases are accompanied by damage to the connective tissue, which leads to acute pain in the joints. These diseases also affect children. Lack of properly selected treatment and quality rehabilitation can lead to severe disability. To avoid such a development of events, it is important to identify the disease in time, receive the correct treatment, and then, with the help of rehabilitation measures, consolidate the success of drug therapy. High-quality rehabilitation, taking place under close medical supervision, will allow you to achieve stable remission and avoid relapse and complications.
Oksana Khomyakova, head of the cardio-rheumatology department, pediatric cardiologist, chief pediatric rheumatologist of the Ministry of Health of the Tula Region, noted: “The most important thing in the work of pediatric doctors is comprehensive assistance to children. Here, first of all, drug therapy is important, but after it, rehabilitation is needed, which will allow to consolidate and improve the results of treatment. “
Zhanna Gharibyan, President of the Renaissance MBOO, noted: “Several factors are needed for a full-fledged effective treatment of young patients: first, timely diagnosis; secondly, modern adequate drug therapy; third, access to rehabilitation. But this requires the consolidated efforts of doctors, parents, philanthropists, the media and representatives of the authorities. “
Yana Makarova, Head of Corporate Communications in Russia and Belarus, Pfizer, said: “Pfizer’s More than Rehabilitation program aims to provide young patients with qualified specialist support during their recovery. Classes under the supervision of doctors, according to specially developed programs and with the help of special equipment, are necessary for the rehabilitation to be successful. They help them quickly return home, to their parents, as well as to society, to their peers and favorite activities – this is extremely important not only to fight the disease, but also to maintain a favorable emotional state of the child. “
Help about the program “More than rehabilitation”
The program “More than rehabilitation” – an initiative of a biopharmaceutical company Pfizerimplemented in partnership with the Renaissance charity organization and aimed at equipping rehabilitation rooms for children with rheumatic diseases and diseases of the musculoskeletal system.
Rooms equipped with modern equipment are being opened in regional clinical centers, which makes it possible to start rehabilitation during or immediately after the end of treatment. Timely and under medical supervision rehabilitation significantly increases the effectiveness of therapy and increases the likelihood of young patients returning to an active life, their psychological and social adaptation.
An important component of the program is to change the attitude of society towards children with diseases of the musculoskeletal system and motivate children to recover as soon as possible, engage in creativity and return to their usual active life on an equal basis with their peers.
Since 2014, as part of the initiative, rehabilitation rooms have been equipped at clinical centers in Volgograd, Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Blagoveshchensk, Irkutsk, St. Petersburg, Stavropol, Yakutsk, Ulyanovsk and Khabarovsk and one specialized playground (in Volgograd). More than 33,000 patients have already undergone rehabilitation procedures in the offices.
