The United States should improve relations with the Russian Federation instead of pushing it towards close cooperation with the PRC. This was stated by former US leader Donald Trump in an interview with Fox News.
“We need to do business with Russia … We need to get along with Russia instead of pushing it towards China,” Trump said.
The ex-President of the United States also noted that at the moment “Russia and China are gaining strength together and jointly.”
We will remind that the last time the aggravation in relations between the Russian Federation and the United States occurred when Washington imposed new sanctions against a number of Russian citizens and organizations, and also announced its decision to expel ten diplomats.
After that, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced a possible mirror response from the Russian side, and Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov advised US Ambassador to Russia John Sullivan to go to Washington for consultations.
