Togliatti Mayor Sergei Antashev has resigned. As reported on the website of the government of the Samara region, this became known after Antashev’s meeting with the regional governor Dmitry Azarov.
It is noted that lately claims have been made against the leadership of Togliatti from regional authorities and city residents. Complaints about the Togliatti administration arose in connection with the insufficient quality of tasks in the field of road construction, housing and communal services, as well as when solving environmental issues.
Sergei Antashev was elected to the post of head of the Togliatti administration in 2017. Prior to that, he served as deputy mayor of Togliatti for municipal services.
Earlier it was reported that the vice-governor of St. Petersburg Yevgeny Yelin submitted his resignation. In his post, Yelin coordinated the activities of the Committee for Property Relations of St. Petersburg, the Committee for State Orders, and the Committee for Industrial Policy, Innovation and Trade.
