Three checkpoints to open in Syria in the Idlib de-escalation zone

Three checkpoints will open in the Idlib de-escalation zone in Syria on February 22, reports TASS, referring to the deputy head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties (CPVS) Vyacheslav Sytnik.

According to him, the checkpoints Seraqab, Miznaz and Abu Azeidin will allow the population to freely move across the borders of the Idlib de-escalation zone and the territory controlled by the Turkish armed forces and pro-Turkish formations.

The CPVS noted that such a decision was made in connection with the appeals of citizens who live in areas not controlled by Damascus. They complain about the lack of qualified medical care and the worsening socio-economic situation due to US sanctions.

Sytnik added that over the past day in Idlib, 36 attacks were recorded from the terrorist group Jabhat al-Nusra (banned in the Russian Federation). No attacks from the positions of illegal armed groups controlled by Turkey have been registered.

Let us remind you earlier in the CPVS reported that the militants were preparing a provocation using poisonous substances in the northeastern part of the Idlib de-escalation zone.
