Bugatti ball valves are considered one of the best available in our stores. For this reason, they are often faked. Moreover, fakes are of very high quality, almost indistinguishable. But there are still 3 points by which even the most skillful fake can be identified.
1. Conformity mark
On Genuine Bugatti cranes, the cast quality of the body allows the fine details of the lettering to be made more accurate. This is clearly seen by the sign of compliance. Rosstandart has a defect on a fake crane. In the abbreviation “PCT”, the last letter looks like a period.
The original crane, produced in Italy at the Bugatti plant, has “PCT” clearly readable. If you see a dot and not the letter “t”, then you have a fake in your hands.
2. Bevel from the American side
If you twist the quick-release squeegee, then the side of the valve body should have thick walls. The manufacturer does not make thin wall taps. The second indicator of originality will be the presence of two bevels at 45 degrees.
The non-original even the highest-quality fake inside has a 45-degree bevel as outside. It looks like a shelf on both sides. The original tap has a shelf on one side and a bevel on the other.
3. Graphite coated rubber bands
The original faucet has a gum-like finish that looks like a pencil lead. If you run it with a clean hand, a trace of graphite will remain on the skin. The fake has the usual black gum.
