The star of Soviet cinema, 86-year-old People’s Artist of the USSR Vasily Lanovoy remains in a medical facility after doctors diagnosed him with COVID-19.
Lanovoy, who fell in love with Soviet and Russian viewers thanks to his roles in the cult films “Officers” and “I’m Going into a Thunderstorm”, is still being held in the hospital where the actor was taken with the coronavirus. A complete examination showed that the elderly artist tolerates the disease well – Lanovoy’s lung damage was 5%.
The director of the star expressed the opinion that Lanovoy will be kept in a medical institution for only a few days, after which he will be sent home. More than a week has passed since then, but the actor is still in the hospital. Doctors assure that nothing threatens his health at present. Despite this, they are in no hurry to write Lanovoy. It is likely that the artist will remain in the hospital until the end of the holidays.
Director of the Theater. Vakhtangov Kirill Krok on Monday, January 4, said that the doctors had managed to stabilize Lanovoy’s condition. He also noted that there is no talk of discharging the actor yet.
