Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Yuriy Boyko on the air of the NASH TV channel told what condition Kiev must fulfill in order for Russian President Vladimir Putin to meet in Volodymyr Zelensky.
According to Boyko, the condition for the meeting of the two leaders should be the constructive preparation of Kiev for the negotiations. The words of the people’s deputy are quoted by RIA Novosti.
At the same time, the Rada deputy noted that Putin will not discuss the issue of Crimea’s ownership during the negotiations. And the fact that the Ukrainian leadership is trying to bring the topic of Crimea to the fore indicates the absence of a constructive situation and Kiev’s unpreparedness to participate in the meeting at this level.
The MP stressed that the Ukrainian side is primarily interested in personal negotiations between Zelensky and Putin.
Earlier, the press secretary of President Putin, Dmitry Peskov, said that the Crimea topic no longer exists for Russia.
