White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki said the United States is concerned about the movement of Russian troops on the border with Ukraine, TASS reports.
According to her, “Russia now has more troops on the border with Ukraine than at any time since 2014”.
She noted that Washington is discussing growing tensions in the region with NATO partners. At the same time, Psaki said that she had no information about US-Russian contacts in this regard.
Note that the Russian army in the past few weeks has indeed carried out large-scale troop movements in the Western and Southern military districts, which border Ukraine. But the Kremlin has repeatedly stressed that Russia poses no threat to other countries, including Ukraine.
The Russian army is moving in the directions in which it considers it necessary to ensure the country’s security, said earlier the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov.
