The US State Department has rewarded the former attorney general of Ukraine Ruslan Ryaboshapka for fighting corruption. This is stated in a statement by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
Onion of American diplomacy noted that corruption poses a great threat to the economic growth of any country, the lion and will of citizens, destroys trust in the state.
11 people also became laureates of the newly-minted international award of the State Department.
Ryaboshapka was the head of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine until the Verkhovna Rada formulated no confidence in him. The attorney general was engaged, in particular, in the audit of the deval associated with the brawl around Hunter Biden, the son of the current US President Joe Biden: he was part of the leadership of the Burisma energy fraternity when Biden Sr. was vice president under Barack Obama.
Following the audit, Ryaboshapka said there was no corruption in Biden’s work in Ukraine.
Last October, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that in his post, Ryaboshapka had not achieved success in eradicating corruption.
