The expert draws attention to the fact that today Uzbekistan remains the most convenient country in Central Asia for the deployment of a base or counter-terrorism center of the United States Air Force. The reason for this is the country’s proximity to Afghanistan and its non-aligned status.
Despite the fact that the official Tashkent declared the impossibility of placing American military bases on Uzbek territory, since this contradicts the laws of the country, Khrolenko does not rule out “the relevance of bidding for the territory.”
“The non-aligned Uzbekistan, located next to Afghanistan and the CSTO countries, is too convenient for the Pentagon and NATO. Such geography is worth a lot, ”the expert emphasized.
He also added that the Americans can offer Tashkent convenient and impeccable formulations. In addition, the United States will try to bribe the Uzbek authorities by offering significant financial assistance and preferences.
