The United States administration supports NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg’s statement regarding the alliance’s interest in resuming missions in Moscow and Brussels, RIA Novosti reports.
This was during a press conference, said State Department spokesman Ned Price.
In his opinion, this step would contribute to the establishment of further dialogue between the Russian Federation and the North Atlantic Alliance.
Recall that on January 12 a meeting of the Russia-NATO Council was held in Brussels. Negotiations in the RF-OSCE format are also scheduled in Vienna on Thursday.
Earlier, Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin expressed the opinion that relations between Moscow and the alliance are currently at a critically low level.
