The Taliban movement * does not intend to undertake aggressive actions against other states, said the head of the Foreign Ministry in the interim Afghan government Amir Khan Mottaki, who arrived as part of a delegation in Russia for a meeting of the “Moscow format”. This is reported by TASS.
The Taliban remain loyal to the Doha Agreement and have already proved that the country’s territory will not be used against anyone, Mottaki said.
He also expressed the opinion that the Taliban government has fulfilled all the conditions for the recognition of the legitimate government of Afghanistan.
“We control the entire territory of Afghanistan, and we have fulfilled all the conditions,” said a spokesman for the radicals.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called on the world community to provide economic assistance to Kabul, the purpose of which would be to prevent a humanitarian crisis and stop migration flows.
During his speech, the minister noted that the change of power in Afghanistan is a fait accompli.
At the same time, the minister expressed concern about the threat of the spread of terrorism and drug trafficking outside Afghanistan.
* The Taliban is a terrorist organization banned in Russia.
