President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy “went too far” in anti-Russian rhetoric, overtaking even his predecessor Petro Poroshenko in this. This was stated by Elena Panina, a member of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs.

Zelensky previously said in an interview that in the event of a Russian attack on Ukraine from the Crimean peninsula, there will be a “big war” for which all citizens, both men and women, will be mobilized. At the same time, the Ukrainian leader expressed the hope that “this is impossible.”

This is reminiscent of the calls that were heard in Germany in 1945 for total war, for the creation of Volkssturm formations, where everyone was driven. Zelensky has already overtaken in terms of hostility in his statements (former President of Ukraine Peter – Poroshenko and is approaching (to ex-speaker of Rada Alexander – Turchinov, who threatened with an atomic bomb, – quotes RIA Novosti State Duma deputy.

At the same time, Panina added that the President of Ukraine is guided in his statements by “cynical calculation.” Thus, according to the deputy, he is trying to justify the water blockade of Crimea and the threats of his subordinates to punish companies that may take part in the construction of desalination plants on the peninsula. According to Panina, Zelensky can also send signals to the new administration of the White House in order to convince them of his anti-Russian intentions.

As reported, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that Kiev knows about the plans of the Crimean authorities to desalinate water on the peninsula and intends to find an international company that will participate in this in order to prevent the project from being implemented.
