The State Duma received a request from the Prosecutor General to deprive Rashkin of immunity

The State Duma received a proposal from the Prosecutor General of Russia to deprive the deputy immunity of a member of the Communist Party faction Valery Rashkin, who is suspected of illegal elk hunting. This was stated by the speaker of the lower house of parliament Vyacheslav Volodin.

According to him, the Duma may discuss on November 25 the issue of depriving Rashkin of immunity, reports TASS.

At the end of October, a car driven by Valery Rashkin was detained in a forest in the Saratov Region. In the trunk of the car there was a butchered moose carcass. The deputy said that he had found an already dead animal on the road.

Later, the police found a gun and a hunting permit in the name of Rashkin at the site of butchering the moose.

Last week it was reported that MP Rashkin passed a polygraph test at the request of his lawyers. Verification allegedly confirmed his version of the illegal hunting story.
