State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin met with Governor of the northern capital Alexander Beglov on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
Volodin and Beglov discussed the development of St. Petersburg. It was about the necessary legislative acts for this.
Volodin and Beglov also agreed to hold an offsite meeting of the State Duma Council in the northern capital in the fall of 2022.
In St. Petersburg, parliamentarians intend to discuss the development of large cities. The deputies will touch upon the issues of transport, housing and communal services, processing of solid household waste.
The XXV St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is taking place from 15 to 18 June. Representatives of more than 90 countries take part in it. The main theme was the search for new opportunities in a changed world.
