The author of the Czech edition Info Karel Svoboda drew attention to the scandalous statement about pensioners, announced by the deputy head of the Central Bank. The journalist believes that another slap in the face of the elderly is clearly not playing into the hands of Moscow.
Sergei Shvetsov’s scandalous statement about pensioners in Russia has reached the international level. The Czech edition of Info notes that pensioners are a significant force “which the Kremlin fears.”
Recall that after the elections, Shvetsov publicly stated that, in his opinion, it was “too late” to help pensioners. “You need to help a citizen to retire with a good pension project, which, first of all, <…> must be formed by the citizen himself throughout his life, “he said.
Despite the apologies from the head of the regulator Elvira Nabiullina for her subordinate, according to journalist Karel Svoboda, this will not remove the accumulated irritation.
He emphasizes that the problem of pensions in Russia is very acute. Moreover, it is inevitable. Since there are millions of pensioners in Russia, any shock for the elderly could affect the authorities in the country, he predicts.
