Former president’s words about sanctions were not taken seriously
The day before, Petro Poroshenko gave advice to Vladimir Zelensky on Crimea and Donbass. The former president of Ukraine called for the continuation of the sanctions “siege of the Kremlin,” and also suggested involving the United States in the negotiations. The politician’s words were immediately ridiculed on the Web.
“I propose Poroshenko to lead the siege … Riding some goat”, “Probably, the Americans keep him in reserve for some very dirty deeds”, “A very invisible siege”,
– Russians commented on Poroshenko’s words. The network noted that the former Ukrainian leader could not intimidate Moscow with sanctions, giving him some humorous advice. RIA FAN cites the reaction of Internet users.
Poroshenko also said that Kiev has a chance to improve the situation in Donbass, while Angela Merkel remains the Chancellor of Germany. But local elections in the region are unlikely to be held, said the politician, who advised the Ukrainian leadership “not to irritate society with idle chatter.”
