The Russian national ice hockey team beat Sweden in overtime in the 2021 World Youth Championship.
The game score was 4: 3 in favor of the Russians. The goals were scored by Yegor Afanasyev (5th minute), Rodion Amirov (20th minute), Kirill Kirsanov (50th minute) and Marat Khusnutdinov (65th minute).
The Swedes were distinguished by Arvid Kostmar (15th minute), Alexander Holz (36th minute) and Noel Gunler (59th minute).
Earlier it was reported that the youth team striker Yegor Chinakhov will miss the World Cup group stage match against the Swedish team due to an injury sustained in the first period of the meeting against the Austrian national team, in which Russian hockey players won with a score of 7: 1.
The final of the youth championship will take place on the night of January 6.
