The Russian national football team retains the 39th place in the updated rating FIFA.
The previous ranking of national teams was published in December last year, after which 43 friendly matches took place, but they did not affect the distribution of places in the top 30.
The first line of the rating is still occupied by the Belgian national team. Also in the top five are France, Brazil, England and Portugal.
The Russian national team has not played in 2021 yet. Last year, the Russian team won two victories, drew three times and lost three times.
As noted RBC, in early February, the Russian Football Union set a task for the national team to get into the top 20 by 2025, and by 2030 – into the top ten national teams in the world.
Russian footballers will play the next match on March 24. As part of the qualifying tournament for the 2022 World Cup, they will play with the team of Malta.
Earlier it was reported that the Russian national team player Mario Fernandez extended contract with Moscow CSKA. The agreement will be valid until the end of the 2023/24 season.
