The Russian Embassy responded to the US statement about the timing of the “invasion” of Ukraine

The White House’s statement that a Russian “invasion” of Ukraine is being prepared is a hoax. The Russian Embassy in the United States announced this on its Facebook page.

Earlier, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said that Moscow would allegedly “attack” Kiev between mid-January and mid-February.

The Russian embassy believes that such a statement of the question “confirms the ongoing information pressure” on Russia.

“Moreover, the same scenario is repeated: there is a “throw-in” of a sensation, which then, repeated many times by the press, turns into the main newsbreak,” the diplomats noted.

The mission also urged the United States to work substantively on security guarantees based on draft treaties proposed by Russia, recalling that Moscow stands for a diplomatic solution to all international problems.

Recall that in December last year, a new wave of publications appeared in the Western media related to Russia’s allegedly impending attack on Ukraine. In Russia, such statements are denied. The press secretary of the Russian leader, Dmitry Peskov, has repeatedly stressed that any movement of troops within the country does not pose a threat to anyone.
