In an interview with Reuters, Kirill Stremousov, deputy head of the military-civilian administration of the Kherson region, said that the annexation of the liberated region to Russia in 2022 is unlikely.
According to Stremousov, this issue can be considered no earlier than 2023. The official outlined the upcoming autumn as the time for preparing the administrative system according to the Russian model, but the end of the year is quite suitable for the next “checkpoint”. It is then that the new authorities will already know exactly how the dynamics of events are developing.
