The Prosecutor General's Office has filed a civil suit against the family of ex-Senator Rauf Arashukov for the seizure of property worth almost 1.5 billion rubles in favor of the state, the press service of the department reported.
The investigation found out that during the period of work in state and local government bodies, Raul and Rauf Arashukovs bought 75 real estate objects, including five apartments, nine residential buildings, a three-story hotel "Adiyukh-Palace", a restaurant, a bath complex, seven land plots, 14 vehicles and other luxury items.
Raul Arashukov in the period from 2007 to 2017 received a salary in the amount of 65 million 917 thousand rubles, and Rauf from 2009 to 2018 - 15 million 651 thousand 125 rubles. At the same time, they acquired property for one billion 469 million 127 thousand 512 rubles.
