The presidents of Russia and Tajikistan discussed the strengthening of bilateral relations during a telephone conversation. This is stated on the Kremlin’s official website.
It is noted that Vladimir Putin and Emomali Rahmon expressed their readiness to continue bilateral relations of strategic partnership and alliance. In addition, the heads of state spoke about increasing interaction in the international arena.
The presidents also congratulated each other on the upcoming holiday.
The day before, Vladimir Putin spoke by phone with the President of Finland Sauli Niinistö. During the conversation, the heads of state discussed relations between the Russian Federation and the European Union, summed up the results of the year on cooperation between Russia and Finland.
In addition, the leaders of the countries conveyed congratulations and wishes to each other in connection with the New Year holidays. The heads of state agreed to continue contacts at various levels.
