The President extended the term of civil service for Foreign Ministry officials Grushko and Bogdanov

The head of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, signed the order on the extension of the period of civil service to the Deputy Heads of the Russian Foreign Ministry Mikhail Bogdanov and Alexander Grushko. The relevant document was published on the legal data portal.

“To extend the term of the federal state civil service beyond the established age limit for the state civil service by one year,” the document adds.

Earlier it was reported that the State Duma adopted in the first reading a bill that removes age restrictions for civil servants appointed and removed from office by the head of state. The document provides that when extending the term of civil service, such employees are not subject to the restriction associated with their reaching the age limit.

The current version of the law on public civil service sets the age limit for staying on it – 65 years, and in some cases – 70 years.
