The preliminary composition of the Russian team for the women’s relay race at the Biathlon World Cup in Slovenia has been determined. The senior coach of the women’s team Mikhail Shashilov told TASS about this.
To date, the team includes Evgenia Pavlova, Tatyana Akimova, Svetlana Mironova and Ulyana Kaisheva.
The interlocutor of the agency clarified that on the eve of the race, changes may occur in the composition.
The men’s and women’s relay races at the World Championships in Pokljuka will take place on February 20, the day before the end of the tournament.
On the eve of the Russian biathletes finished the individual 15 kilometers race at the World Championships in Slovenian Pokljuka without medals. Svetlana Mironova became the best of the Russians, finishing fifth. The race without medals was the sixth in a row for athletes from the Russian Federation.
In connection with the sanctions of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), the Russian team performs without state symbols.
