The diplomatic scandal between the Czech Republic and Russia occurred on April 17, when the country’s Prime Minister Andrei Babis accused Russia of involvement in the explosion at an ammunition depot in Vrbetica in 2014. The Czech Republic expelled 18 diplomats, giving them 48 hours to collect.
In response, Russia declared 20 employees of the Czech Embassy in Moscow persona non grata.
