The plane with 62 Russian diplomats and their families departed from Prague airport

An airplane took off from Prague airport, on board of which 18 expelled diplomats from Russia and members of their families – a total of 62 people, including 28 children.

A special flight with Russian diplomats departed from the Prague airport, expelled by the Czech government.

In total, 62 people flew from the Czech Republic by plane, including 18 expelled diplomats and members of their families, including 28 children.

The broadcast from the Vaclav Havel Prague Airport was conducted by Czech television, RIA Novosti reports.

The diplomatic scandal between the Czech Republic and Russia occurred on April 17, when the country’s Prime Minister Andrei Babis accused Russia of involvement in the explosion at an ammunition depot in Vrbetica in 2014. The Czech Republic expelled 18 diplomats, giving them 48 hours to collect.

In response, Russia declared 20 employees of the Czech Embassy in Moscow persona non grata.
