At first glance, it seems that Larry Lynch from Florida (USA) photographed just a close-up of a tree trunk.
But it’s not, and the 50-year-old photographer has caught something much more interesting. Or rather, not something, but someone. If you look closely, you can see that the main character of the photo is a bird known as the North American owl.
It looks like the owl’s body is hiding in a hollow, but its head is turned towards the camera, and it is quite possible to make out the eyes and beak. Although many Internet users joked that in order to see a bird, you must have a hawk’s eyes.
