Nutritionist Marina Makisha told the Zvezda TV channel what a proper schoolchild's breakfast should be.
According to the specialist, the first meal should contain the protein necessary for the growth of the body. For example, it can be a cutlet or a sandwich with a piece of cheese and red fish.
In addition, dairy or fermented milk products without added sugar are suitable for breakfast. Makisha stressed that such products are the main source of calcium available at a price. So, in the absence of contraindications, the doctor recommended offering the child cottage cheese, yogurt or casserole in the morning.
The doctor also noted that instant cereals do not contain nutrients and are "empty calories." In addition, the nutritionist urged to abandon packaged juices, which can lead to diabetes.
Earlier, the Ministry of Education reported that all schoolchildren in grades 1-4 are provided with free hot meals.
