The number of people seeking medical help due to poisoning in two schools in Krasnoarmeysk has increased to 145, according to the Federal Medical and Biological Agency of Russia.
“As of January 22, 145 people applied for medical help to the medical and sanitary unit No. 154 of the FMBA of Russia with complaints of nausea, vomiting, diarrhea: 50 students from school No. 4, 90 students from school No. 3, 4 adults: 1 of them was a food worker school number 4, 1 teacher of school number 3 and 2 family members of one of the students, as well as 2 children by contact in the family. Since January 18, two children have been hospitalized in hospitals in a state of moderate severity, ”the TASS news agency cites.
The condition of the rest of the children and adults who sought medical help is satisfactory. The victims received the necessary assistance, prescribed antibacterial and symptomatic therapy, and also established medical supervision.
FMBA’s territorial office is conducting an epidemiological investigation of the outbreak.
According to preliminary data, norovirus was found in the victims, but microbiological studies are ongoing.
