A unified information platform with data on foreigners with the ability to store a digital profile will appear in the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation told RIA Novosti.
The digital profile will include information about the legal status of a foreign citizen who has arrived in the Russian Federation, his biometric data, information about his place of residence and employment, which will allow the migrant to receive government services in electronic form.
In particular, with the help of this platform, foreigners will be able to make payments, conclude and renew work contracts, and confirm training.
Through the new service, foreigners will also be able to receive a newsletter with a warning that their permits to stay in the Russian Federation will soon expire.
The project is being developed jointly with the Ministry of Finance.
As previously reported, the Ministry of Internal Affairs plans to submit a bill on digitalization of the entire migration system of Russia in a year.
