On Saturday, 26 people were detained in Belarus for administrative offenses during the protest actions held the day before. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic.
The ministry explained that yesterday more than 30 thousand people across the country took part in 75 events in support of peace, security and tranquility. At the same time, at 67 protest actions that took place in 55 settlements of the country, the number of participants was 6,100 people.
It is noted that 18 violations of the legislation on mass events were recorded. No aggressive actions, including against employees of the internal affairs bodies, were recorded during public and political mass events.
Let us remind you that mass protest actions have been going on throughout Belarus since August 9 after the presidential elections in which the current leader of the republic, Alexander Lukashenko, received more than 80% of the votes.
Earlier, the country's Interior Ministry told how many people remain under arrest for participating in unauthorized mass events.
