The Ministry of Health announced the absence of a shortage of antiviral drugs in Russia

The Russian Ministry of Health reported that there is no shortage of antiviral drugs in the country, TASS reports.

According to the ministry, the drug labeling system allows you to quickly respond to requests from participants in the turnover and patients in order to ensure the stability of drug supply.

It is also noted that against the background of the coronavirus pandemic, the Ministry of Health is constantly monitoring the labeling system for the presence of antiviral, antipyretic, antibacterial drugs. And in some Russian regions there is an increased demand for such drugs in pharmacies, however, the country's medical institutions are fully provided with all the necessary drugs.

According to the Ministry of Health, Russia is currently developing a drug that will specifically stop the multiplication of coronavirus. This drug will accurately target the genes responsible for replication.

Earlier, the chief allergist-immunologist of the Ministry of Health of Russia, academician Rakhim Khaitov said that most of those infected with coronavirus in Russia recently came from vacation. According to the academician, people return from tours and bring infection to their regions.
