The head of the Ministry of Finance Anton Siluanov said that the department considers it expedient to gradually switch to the collection of tax on real estate of organizations at the cadastral value, not the book value, writes Interfax.
At a meeting of the State Duma's budget committee, his deputy, Leonid Gornin, clarified that the Ministry of Finance is discussing such a possibility with the regions.
In turn, Siluanov noted that it is necessary to maintain a balance between the receipt of revenues in regional budgets and an increase in the tax burden on business.
According to him, citizens pay property taxes based on market value, so businesses need to make a gradual transition.
Speaking about the proposals to return the real estate tax again by lowering the general marginal rate, Siluanov said that it is more reasonable to clearly distinguish between the concepts of movable and immovable property in the legislation.
Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Finance said that next year the regions will be able to receive an additional 100 billion rubles in compensation for incomes that fall due to tax decisions at the federal level.
Prior to that, it became known that the Ministry of Finance had prepared a bill providing for the privatization of state property without including objects in the federal forecast plan.
