The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced that it will continue to take out Russians from Kazakhstan

The Russian Ministry of Defense continues to evacuate Russian citizens from Alma-Ata, TASS reports.

According to the Defense Ministry, the evacuation by military transport aircraft of Russians who arrived in Kazakhstan for the New Year and now wish to return home will continue “until the task is completed.”

As a reminder, due to the unrest in Kazakhstan, international air traffic between Russia and the republic was temporarily suspended.

The Russian Foreign Ministry opened a hotline to help Russians who could not fly out of Kazakhstan. On January 9, the first three planes with Russian citizens flew from Alma-Ata to Chkalovsky near Moscow. There were 100 people on board each liner.

Earlier today it was reported that the registration of Russians for export flights in Alma-Ata was suspended due to workload.
