The media learned about a possible meeting between Putin and Biden in early 2022

Russian President Vladimir Putin in early 2022 may personally meet with his American counterpart Joe Biden, writes Kommersant, citing sources.

At the same time, the leaders will presumably hold an online meeting by the end of the year.

The publication notes that the details of the events have not yet been fully agreed upon.

The last talks between the leaders of Russia and the United States took place in Geneva on June 16. This was their first face-to-face meeting as heads of two countries. As a result, Biden said that the parties will assess the progress of the implementation of the agreements reached in six months.

Recently, Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov noted that a new meeting is possible “in one format or another” by the end of the year.
